Shout-outs and thank yous are in order…
To both Jose Vilson:
And Gotham Schools:
For linking and sharing my “I am a minority” post to a much broader audience.
It is an honor to be linked to a fantastic blog kept by an outstanding (and honest) teacher who’s also a good friend in Jose as well as a blog where I go to as my first stop for education news (which I read often) with editors like Philissa Cramer and Elizabeth Green who I’ve communicated with at times.
Either way, I’m glad that more of my personal pieces are being read when it comes to education. I consider myself to be an emotional teacher and many of my beliefs do come from a strong place inside and where I’ve been as a child and what I would have gone through if I was a child in the NYC system today.
Thank you both again, it is all much appreciated.
